realme’s new C100 Series aims to make premium features more accessible without the premium price tag.
For today’s young Filipinos, a smartphone has become far more than a communication device. It’s a classroom, entertainment hub, creative studio, wallet, gaming console, and social lifeline — all packed into a device that’s expected to last from morning classes to late-night scrolling.
But while smartphones have become increasingly essential, flagship prices have also continued to climb, putting many devices beyond the reach of students, first-time buyers, and budget-conscious consumers.
Recognizing this growing gap, realme Philippines is positioning its newest realme C100 Series as an affordable gateway into the smartphone experience, offering features typically found in higher-priced devices while keeping costs within reach of younger Filipinos.
For Jeth Nilooban, National Training Manager of realme Philippines, the goal was never simply to build another entry-level smartphone.
“We wanted to bring flagship-level experiences to more people,” Nilooban said during the launch. “Young Filipinos shouldn’t have to spend flagship money just to enjoy features like long battery life, smooth performance, durability, and AI-powered experiences.”
Launched under the theme “One Charge, Endless Power,” the lineup introduces the realme C100 and realme C100i, two smartphones designed for users who want dependable everyday performance without stretching their budgets.

Jeth Nilooban, National Training Manager at realme Philippines
According to Jeth Nilooban, National Training Manager of realme Philippines, the C100 Series was designed to address one of today’s biggest smartphone frustrations: running out of power before the day is over.
“The realme C100 is built to keep up with your day — from morning to night,” Nilooban said during the launch. “Whether you’re studying, streaming, gaming, or staying connected on social media, it’s designed to give users the confidence that their phone can keep up with their lifestyle.”
Designed for everyday digital life
For many Gen Z users, a phone rarely gets a break.
It’s used for online classes in the morning, messaging throughout the day, content creation in the afternoon, mobile gaming in the evening, and endless scrolling before bed.
That shift in digital behavior has also changed what consumers expect from entry-level smartphones. Battery life, durability, display quality, and storage have become just as important as affordability.
Rather than simply competing on price, realme is betting that younger buyers want a smartphone that remains dependable throughout the day instead of one that merely looks attractive on a spec sheet.
Nilooban said the company designed the C100 Series around the everyday realities of its target users.
“We know our users aren’t just checking messages,” he said. “They’re attending online classes, creating content, gaming, streaming videos, working, and staying connected almost all day. We wanted a phone that could confidently support that lifestyle.”
Premium touches at an accessible price
Although positioned within the budget smartphone segment, the realme C100 Series incorporates features more commonly associated with mid-range devices.
The C100 comes with a 6.8-inch 120Hz display, providing smoother scrolling, gaming, and video playback — an experience that caters to users who spend much of their time consuming short-form videos and social media content.
Meanwhile, the C100i focuses on multimedia by introducing a 300% Ultra Volume Speaker, designed to enhance music, video streaming, gaming, and hands-free viewing.
Perhaps the clearest example of that philosophy is battery life.
Nilooban described battery anxiety as one of the biggest pain points among smartphone users today, particularly younger consumers who spend much of their day online.
“After a busy day of social media, streaming, gaming, and everything else you do on your smartphone, you can still have around 40 percent battery left. That’s the kind of confidence the 8,000mAh Titan Battery gives you.”
As smartphones become constant companions throughout the day, battery anxiety remains one of the biggest frustrations among users. The C100 Series addresses that concern by focusing on extended power that supports studying, streaming, messaging, gaming, and content creation without frequent charging.
Built for life on the move

Beyond performance, realme is also placing greater emphasis on durability — a practical feature for younger consumers whose devices are constantly carried between classrooms, coffee shops, public transport, and outdoor activities.
The C100 features IP69 Pro dust and water resistance, reinforced with ArmorShell™ Glass and MIL-STD-810H military-grade shock resistance for added protection against everyday accidents.
Both the C100 and the C100i also include Rain Touch Mode, allowing users to continue operating their phones even with wet hands — an increasingly useful feature in the country’s unpredictable weather.
Rather than treating durability as a premium feature, realme is positioning it as something every smartphone user should be able to enjoy. For Nilooban, durability is no longer a luxury reserved for flagship devices but an everyday necessity.
“The two biggest threats to smartphones are simple — drops and water,” he said. “The good news is that the realme C100 is built to handle both.”
Making technology more accessible
During the launch, Alice Liu, Marketing Director of realme Philippines, said the company remains committed to making feature-rich smartphones more accessible to a wider audience.
“For this realme C100 Series, with its great performance, big battery, and better durability, I would be happy to share with you our final offer,” Liu said.
Nilooban, for his part, said affordability should no longer mean compromising on the features people use most.
“Our objective wasn’t simply to lower the price,” he said. “It was to make sure more Filipinos could experience a smartphone that feels premium in everyday use.”
The C100 is available at a suggested retail price of ₱16,999 for the 4GB + 256GB model and ₱19,999 for the 8GB + 256GB variant. Introductory promotions reduce the prices to ₱14,999 and ₱17,999, respectively.
For buyers seeking a more affordable option, the C100i starts at ₱8,999, placing it within reach of students, first-time smartphone owners, and young professionals entering the workforce.
Powering the devices are the MediaTek Helio G92 Max processor for the C100 and the Unisoc T7250 chipset for the C100i, both running realme UI 7.0 based on Android 16.
Expandable storage is also available on both models, allowing users to save photos, videos, school files, and apps without immediately investing in a more expensive device.
Lowering the barrier for first-time buyers

The realme C100 is available at SRP of ₱16,999 (4GB + 256GB) and ₱19,999 (8GB + 256GB)
Recognizing that affordability goes beyond the sticker price, realme has also introduced several launch promotions aimed at making the devices easier to own.
Early buyers of the C100 can enjoy discounts of up to ₱2,000, along with bundled accessories, extended warranty coverage, and screen damage protection.
Customers pre-ordering the C100i, meanwhile, will receive a complimentary TechLife Smart Band together with introductory discounts on select variants.
Flexible 0% installment plans through Home Credit are likewise available, giving consumers another option to purchase a smartphone without paying the full amount upfront.
More than competing on price
As competition intensifies in the budget smartphone segment, manufacturers are increasingly competing on experience rather than specifications alone.
Consumers — particularly younger buyers — now expect affordable phones to deliver long battery life, dependable durability, smooth performance, AI-powered features, and software that remains responsive over time.
For realme, the C100 Series reflects that changing expectation.
Instead of asking consumers to choose between affordability and quality, the company is betting they should be able to enjoy both.
“Great design, massive battery life, dependable durability, smooth everyday performance, and practical AI features — that’s what the realme C100 Series is all about,” Liu said.
For Nilooban, that philosophy ultimately defines the new lineup.
“Our goal is simple,” he said. “We want more Filipinos to experience technology that feels premium, performs reliably every day, and remains accessible to the people who need it most.”
