The roar of engines and the smell of burning rubber filled the air last Sunday, May 24, as eleven of the country’s finest drifters converged at the Philippine Arena grounds in Bulacan for Summer Meet and Drift — a one-night celebration of car culture and sideways driving that drew enthusiasts from across the region.
The evening showcase featured a lineup of skilled drivers pushing their machines to the limit in a display of precision and flair.
Most of the competitors took to the course in modified Toyota Cefiros, the iconic rear-wheel-drive platform that has long been a staple of the local drifting scene.
Beyond the track action, the event doubled as a full-on automotive festival.
Attendees were treated to car meets and exhibits featuring some of the more striking builds in the local scene, while food stalls, drinks, and live music kept the festive atmosphere going well into the night.
Best of all, entry to the event was completely free — making it an accessible night out for gearheads, families, and casual spectators alike.
The event was organized by Decal Republic and the Autocraft Drift Team, both active figures in the Philippine car community.
Those who want to catch the next pop-up drift demonstration or car meet are encouraged to follow the Decal Republic Facebook Page and the Autocraft Drift Team Facebook Page for updates on future events.
