A romance novel goes viral. Readers obsess over its characters and couples. Fancasts take over TikTok. Then comes the inevitable announcement: It’s being adapted for the screen.
Amazon Prime Video seems to have figured out the formula.
After turning The Summer I Turned Pretty into a pop-culture phenomenon, the streamer found another hit with Off Campus, the adaptation of Elle Kennedy’s bestselling college hockey romance.
Meanwhile, Maxton Hall, the German adaptation of Mona Kasten’s Save Me, has become one of Prime Video’s biggest international romance successes.
Now, the pipeline is getting bigger, with even more BookTok-fueled romance coming to the platform.
Here are the Prime Video romance adaptations to stream now — and the ones to watch out for next.

1. The Summer I Turned Pretty

It’s impossible to talk about Prime Video’s romance hits without starting with The Summer I Turned Pretty.
Based on Jenny Han’s bestselling trilogy, the series turned Belly, Conrad and Jeremiah’s love triangle into a pop-culture conversation.
Three seasons of first love, heartbreak and summer nostalgia made the series a BookTok staple — and even sparked a resurgence in popularity for Taylor Swift’s older songs, including “Cruel Summer,” “This Love (Taylor’s Version)” and “False God.”
2. Off Campus
If The Summer I Turned Pretty represents the softer side of BookTok romance, Off Campus brings more heat.
Based on Elle Kennedy’s hockey romance series, the first season adapts The Deal, following aspiring songwriter Hannah and hockey star Garrett as their fake-dating arrangement becomes something more.
The formula has proved irresistible: Off Campus became Prime Video’s No. 3 most-viewed debut season ever, reaching 36 million viewers worldwide in its first 12 days.
3. Maxton Hall

Maxton Hall proves BookTok romance isn’t limited to American stories.
Based on Mona Kasten’s Save Me, the German series follows scholarship student Ruby Bell and wealthy heir James Beaufort at an elite private school. Their antagonistic relationship develops into something more, delivering the enemies-to-lovers tension BookTok loves.
The series became Prime Video’s most successful international Original, with its third and final season arriving on December 9.

4. You+Me – Against the World
Based on Emma Green’s bestselling trilogy, the French-language adaptation follows Alma, an aspiring filmmaker from a wealthy family, and Vadim, a magnetic rebel with a troubled past.
Forced to work together on a student film, the two clash, grow closer and fall in love despite themselves. It premieres globally on September 18.
5. The Love Hypothesis

Ali Hazelwood’s bestselling romance brings Ph.D. student Olive Smith and intimidating professor Adam Carlsen together in a fake-dating setup that predictably becomes complicated.
Lili Reinhart and Tom Bateman lead the adaptation, arriving on Prime Video on September 23.
6. Campus Drivers
Based on C.S. Quill’s popular French college romance novels, Campus Drivers follows Lois and Lane, two neighbors who couldn’t be more different. When a heartbroken Lois unexpectedly ends up at Lane’s doorstep, the campus heartthrob and his neighbor’s ex become unlikely roommates, setting off an attraction neither saw coming. The series premieres globally in November 2026.
7. Boys of Tommen
Irish author Chloe Walsh’s bestselling Boys of Tommen series follows talented rugby player Johnny Kavanagh and shy new student Shannon Lynch as their relationship develops at Tommen College.
With a fiercely devoted readership, the adaptation has all the ingredients of Prime Video’s next fandom-driven romance. A release date has yet to be announced.
8. Rose Hill

Canadian author Elsie Silver’s Rose Hill is a four-book contemporary romance series, with the first season of the Prime Video adaptation based on Wild Love. The story follows rancher West Belmont and brooding billionaire Ford Grant, who has long carried a torch for West’s sister, Rosie. When country-pop star Skylar Stone arrives in their mountain town, old feelings, family drama and new complications turn up the heat. Production is underway, but no release date has been announced.
9. Fourth Wing
The outlier, Rebecca Yarros’ Fourth Wing is adult romantasy — but its enormous BookTok following makes it impossible to ignore.
The story follows Violet Sorrengail as she enters a deadly military college to compete for a place among dragon riders, where danger, rivalries and romance await.
Prime Video has ordered the adaptation, with Michael B. Jordan among its executive producers. Filming and a release date have yet to be announced.
