MANILA – A lucky bettor from Cavite has become an instant multi-millionaire, winning the PHP19 million jackpot in Thursday night’s Lotto 6/42 draw. The Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) confirmed that the winning ticket, with the numbers 05-26-02-21-08-27, was purchased at the Waltermart Center in General Trias City.

The Cavite native now has one year to claim the PHP19,033,913 prize at the PCSO’s main office in Mandaluyong City. As required by law, the winner must present two valid IDs and the winning ticket. Under the Tax Reform for Acceleration and Inclusion (TRAIN) law, winnings exceeding PHP10,000 are subject to a 20% tax, meaning the lucky winner will take home around PHP15.2 million after taxes.

But the excitement didn’t stop there. Fifty-six other bettors also scored a win by matching five of the six winning numbers, each receiving PHP24,000. Meanwhile, 2,129 bettors walked away with PHP800 for hitting four correct digits, and a whopping 28,258 participants snagged PHP20 for guessing three correct numbers.

The Lotto 6/42 draw, which happens every Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday, continues to be a favorite among Filipinos dreaming of life-changing winnings. The PCSO encourages more people to join its gaming programs, as proceeds go toward vital health initiatives, medical services, and national charitable efforts.

With more than just the jackpot at stake, even small wins bring hope and excitement to thousands across the country. Will you be the next to strike gold?
